What we collect

When you use the contact form or email us, we process your name, email address, any engagement preference you select, and the content of your message. Server logs may include IP address and basic browser information for security.

Purpose and lawful basis

We process enquiry data to respond to you and, where relevant, to prepare a proposal. The lawful basis is legitimate interests in operating our practice, or contract steps at your request. Cookie preferences are stored locally on your device as described in the cookie policy.

Engagement data

For paid work we ask clients to supply anonymised search samples. We do not seek personal identifiers in query logs. If personal data is discovered inadvertently, we will pause processing and ask you to provide a cleaned sample.

Retention

Enquiry messages are retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed for an active engagement or legal claim. Deliverables and related correspondence for paid work are retained for up to 6 years for accounting and dispute purposes unless otherwise agreed.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may use email and hosting providers acting as processors under contract. We share data with professional advisers or authorities when required by law.
